Jaw Repositioning (Orthognathic Surgery)

Many patients have facial cosmetic problems caused by abnormal growth of their facial bones. These problems are usually corrected with surgery to reposition the jaws rather than cosmetic soft tissue surgery. The word orthognathic comes from the Greek words orthos, meaning straight, and gnathos, meaning jaws. Orthognathic surgery "straightens" the jaws and corrects cosmetic and functional facial skeletal problems.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are one of the best dental treatments available today! They make it possible to replace missing teeth with restorations that look, feel and function like natural teeth. They restore the ability to eat virtually anything and to smile with confidence, knowing that your teeth appear natural, and that facial contours have been preserved or restored.

TMJ Treatment (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder Treatment)

The temporomandibular joint is the jaw joint, the joint that connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the bottom of the skull (the temporal bone). TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders are a group of problems related to the jaw joint (TMJ) and/or the muscles that open and close the mouth and move the head. The symptoms include pain and/or clicking, popping and grinding noises in the jaw joint (TMJ), headaches, limited mouth opening, sore teeth, neck pain, and earaches. There may be tenderness and swelling around the temporomandibular joints, changes in how the teeth come together, and pain behind the eyes. All of the symptoms may be due to strained muscles, all of the symptoms may be due to joint strain or degeneration, or there may be a combination of joint and muscle symptoms.

Surgical Removal of Wisdom Teeth

Studies have shown that early evaluation and treatment results in a superior outcome. Patients are generally first evaluated in the early teenage years. With an oral examination and x-rays of the mouth, Dr. McBride can determine if the wisdom teeth should be removed.
